  2. El chaku de vicuña es una practica ancestral que consiste en el encierro, captura, esquila y posterior liberación de vicuñas. Esta practica se hace en forma conjunta Valeria Martínez Dellafredad

  3. En tiempos pasados, la vicuña, animal silvestre, fue fundamental para que los pueblos indígenas pudiesen sobrevivir en la Puna. Su carne era utilizada para el consumo y su fibra para la confección de tejidos e hilados Valeria Martínez Dellafredad

  4. Actualmente, esta costumbre continua: un grupo de personas rodea a las vicuñas, formando un <<cordon humano<< para arrearlas hacia corrales. Cada integrante debe estar atento porque si <<rompen el cordon<<,algunas vicuñas podrían escapar y el trabajo se echaría a perder Valeria Martinez Dellafredad
