JOHN 13 1 Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. 2 And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

EXODUS 1 1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel who came to Egypt; each man and his household came with Jacob: 2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah; 3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin; 4 Dan, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. 5 All those who were descendants of Jacob were seventy persons (for Joseph was in Egypt already). 6 And Joseph died, all his brothers, and all that generation. 7 But the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them. 8 Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.

EXODUS 1 9 And he said to his people, "Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we; 10 "come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land." 11 Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses. 12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.

  6. A TRAGIC REALITY • MAN CAN THINK WHAT HE WANTS. • SATAN CAN PUT HIS THOUGHTS IN THE MIND (HEART OF MAN) • GOD CAN HIS OWN THOUGHTS IN THE MIND OF MAN

JESUS AND SATAN JESUS HAD HIS PLAN OF LOVE FOR HIS OWN AND SATAN HAD ALREADY PUT IN THE HEART OF JUDAS TO BETRAY JESUS. 1 Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. 2 And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him,

  8. JESUS AND SATAN GOD HAS PLANS OF LOVE, PROSPERITY, JOY AND SATAN HAS PLANS OF BETRAYAL, DESTRUCTION JOHN 10:10 10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

  9. JESUS AND SATAN MAN MUST DECIDE WHO MUST RULE IN HIS MIND

  10. WHEN GOD RULE IN THE MIND MAN WILL LOVE, REJOICE, FULFILLED, FORGIVE , ENCOURAGE, SERVE, BE PATIENT, FULL OF HOPE, ALIVE, PERSEVERENT Etc… I Corinthians 13 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

WHEN SATAN RULE IN THE MIND MAN WILL SUSPECT, ENVY, PUFF UP, BE RUDE , BE CRITICAL, HATE, FULL OF EVIL FIGHT, REJOICE IN INIQUITY, Etc… I Corinthians 13: “4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;”

Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf." 8 And his brothers said to him, "Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?" So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.

And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me." 10 So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, "What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?" 11 And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

HATRED 20 "Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, 'Some wild beast has devoured him.' We shall see what will become of his dreams!" WICKED ACTIONS SPREAD HIS WICKEDNESS Come therefore, let us now…

THE CASE OF KING SAUL I SAMUEL 17 6 Now it had happened as they were coming home, when David was returning from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women had come out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy, and with musical instruments. 7 So the women sang as they danced, and said: "Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands." 8 Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, "They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?" 9 So Saul eyed David from that day forward.

COMPARISON 8 Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; HATRED 11 And Saul cast the spear, for he said, "I will pin David to the wall!" But David escaped his presence twice. WICKED ACTIONS I sam.19:1 “Now Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to all his servants, that they should kill David;” SPREAD HIS WICKEDNESS

THE CASE OF THE PHARISEES AND SADDUCEES JOHN 11 45 Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him. 46 But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things Jesus did. 47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. 48 "If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation." 49 And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all,

  23. THE CASE OF THE PHARISEES AND SADDUCEES JOHN 11 50 "nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish." 53 Then, from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death.

  25. THE DEVIL’S ULTIMATE STRATEGY THE DEVIL MAKES PEOPLE APPEAR TO YOU AS YOUR ENEMIES SO THAT YOU ANTICIPATE BY HATING THEM AND ULTIMATELY DESTROY THEM.

  27. THE DEVIL’S ULTIMATE STRATEGY THE BROTHERS OF JOSEPH SAW JOSEPH AS ONE WHO WILL DOMINATE OVER THEM 8 And his brothers said to him, "Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?" So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.

  28. THE DEVIL’S ULTIMATE STRATEGY THE PHARISEES AND THE SADDUCEES SAW JESUS AS A THREAT FOR THEIR NATION 47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. 48 "If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation."

  29. THE TRUTH IS… YOU HAVE NO ENEMY! SATAN ALONE IS YOUR ENEMY!! EPHESIANS 6:12 “For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

  30. A BLASTANT LIE THE DEVIL WANTS TO INTEGRATE YOU IN HIM THROUGH HIS THOUGHTS JOHN 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

  31. YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK WHEN YOU ACCEPT THE THOUGHT OF SATAN YOU BECOME HIM. PROVERB 23:7 7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

THE DEVIL’S ULTIMATE STRATEGY HOW FAR THE DEVIL HAS GONE IN YOUR MIND? • WHO ARE YOU COMPARING YOURSELF WITH? • WHO ARE YOU CRITIZING SO NEGATIVELY? • WHO ARE YOU JEALOUS OF? • DO YOU GIVE NEGATIVE MOTIF TO PEOPLE? • WHO ARE YOU SEEING AS A THREAT? • WHO ARE YOU SEEING AS AN ENEMY? • WHO DO YOU HATE SO MUCH? • HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE YOU ALREADY INFLUENCING TO SEE SOMEONE NEGATIVELY?

  33. THE DEVIL’S ULTIMATE STRATEGY HOW FAR THE DEVIL HAS GONE IN YOUR MIND? • WHO ARE YOU COMPARING YOURSELF WITH? • WHO ARE YOU CRITIZING SO NEGATIVELY? • WHO ARE YOU JEALOUS OF? • DO YOU GIVE NEGATIVE MOTIF TO PEOPLE? • WHO ARE YOU SEEING AS A THREAT? • WHO ARE YOU SEEING AS AN ENEMY? • WHO DO YOU HATE SO MUCH? • HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE YOU ALREADY INFLUENCING TO SEE SOMEONE NEGATIVELY?

  34. CONSIDER THESE FACTS • THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL CONTINUED TO MULTIPLY AND FINALLY LEFT EGYPT. BUT THE EGYPTIANS LOSS GREATLY. • JOSEPH FINALLY BECAME THE PRIME MINISTER OF EGYPT. BUT HIS BROTHERS LIVED WITH GUILT FOR MANY YEARS AND WERE FULL OF FEAR WHEN THEY MET HIM IN EGYPT. • DAVID FINALLY BECAME KING OF ISRAEL. BUT KING SAUL DIED. • AFTER THE PHARISEES KILLED JESUS, HE ROSE AGAIN ON THE THRID DAY. BUT HISTORY WILL REMEMBER FOREVER THAT THE PHARISEES AND THE SADDUCEES KILLED GOD.

  35. CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS 17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and so passes on? 18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a man. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander. 20 These are what defile a man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man." YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE OF YOUR THOUGHTS

  36. CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts? YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE OF YOUR THOUGHTS

  38. THE COMMAND OF GOD PHILIPPIANS 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

LESSONS OF TODAY • DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF WITH ANYONE. • DO NOT BE JEALOUS IN YOUR HEART. • DO NOT BELIEVE THAT ANYONE IS YOUR ENEMY. • DO NOT BE ANGRY IN YOUR HEART AGAINS ANYONE. • DO NOT SPREAD BAD THOUGHTS AROUND. • WATCH OVER YOUR THOUGHTS. • KEEP ONLY THOUGHTS THAT ARE TRUE, HONORABLE, JUST, PURE, LOVELY, GRACIOUS, EXCELLENT, PRAISE WORTHY.
