  4. A plot summary by a 13 year old: Duffy’s jacket is a story about three kids, two boys and a girl and their aunts. Their aunts decided to take them camping since that was the manly thing they could do with the kids cause they were single parents. They went in the woods, there was like a lodge the narrator’s mom’s friend told them it’s okay for them to use it as long as they clean it. The lodge hasn’t been used for a long time so it is dirty, dusty and there webs and a lot of dirty stuff. The narrator says Duffy is not smart and his mom says he is so smart, he is just mostly thinking about every day things that happen with him. The aunts left the lodge, but there is no problem cause there are wood guards there to watch the kids. Duffy loses his jacket, the wood guard finds it and he is acting like he is a stranger and he is scaring the kids. In the end all he did was give the jacket back to Duffy. He acted like he was going to do something harmful, but he didn’t. The whole point of the story is don’t leave your stuff everywhere.
