The Higher Call of the Kingdom ““But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!” (Matthew 5:20, NLT)

Our Compassion Models His Compassion “He ensures that orphans and widows receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing.” (Deuteronomy 10:18, NLT)
Our Compassion Remembers His Compassion “When you are harvesting, leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless, and the widow. Remember that you were slaves in Egypt,” (Deuteronomy 24:19-22, NIV84).
A Life of Compassion Give for an Audience of One

A Life of Compassion Give without a Ledger

Subtle Sin of Self-Congratulation “The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don’t cheat, I don’t sin, and I don’t commit adultery. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’” (Luke 18:11–12, NLT)
