  1. Target test prep reviews to guide your GMAT journey GMAT refers to the Graduate Management Admission Test. It is a computer-adaptive test. It aims to assess a person's analytical writing, quantitative, verbal and reading skills. The exam appears in standard written English. This test is taken in preparation for getting admitted into a graduate management program. Such programs include MBA, Masters in Finance and other related courses. This exam is an adaptive computer test. What this essentially means is that the candidate will get one question at a time. And depending on the accuracy of the previous answer, the difficulty level of the following question will be decided. Valid from 16 April 2018, the GMAT exam will be of three hours and thirty minutes. This time is including test instructions and breaks. The Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative sections have been shortened from their original duration by 13 and 10 minutes respectively. The Integrated Reasoning and Analytical Writing Assessment along with the Score Preview and the free break time remains unchanged. However, these changes will not have any impact on scoring in the Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative sections as only the unscored items of these sections have been removed by the Graduate Management Admission Council, GMAC.
