  1. Status of the ARIBE project L. Maunoury, B. Huber, T.Been, P. Guinement, H. Lebius, B. Manil, J.M. Ramillon L. Maunoury 4rd AnnualLEIF Meeting June 27th - July 2rd 2003, Belfast, Ireland

  2. The ARIBE facility ARIBE : Accélérateurs pour les Recherches interdisciplinaires avec les Ions de Basse Energie ARIBE is the result of the combination of the AIM facility (Grenoble) and the LIMBE facility (Caen) Goals : ==> high performance infrastructure for providing low energy beams (1V - 25 kV) ==> creation of an international research area on the Physics of low energy ions The ARIBE facility will be composed of three types of beam lines : ==> Medium Energy Beam Line : MEBL ( = 6 beam lines) ==> Low Energy Beam Line : LEBL ( = 1 beam line) ==> Cluster Beam Line (future development) : CLBL Thus, the main characteristics of this infrastructure will be :  Intense beams of highly charged ions from keV up to MeV  Mono-energetic highly charged ions at eV energies  Cluster beams in the eV to keV energie range (future development) L. Maunoury 4rd AnnualLEIF Meeting June 27th - July 2rd 2003, Belfast, Ireland

  3. Actually : LIMBE The ECR ion source SUPERSHYPIE  14.5 GHz high frequency microwave and up to 1 kW of power  Coils and permanent magnets for the magnetic field structure  Mono-gap extraction  Energy range : 1.5 - 25 keV/q L. Maunoury et al., LIMBE : a new facility for low energy beams, Review of Scientific Instrument, Vol 73, Num 2, 2002 L. Maunoury 4rd AnnualLEIF Meeting June 27th - July 2rd 2003, Belfast, Ireland
