  7. Language! Sri Lanka’s official languages • Sinhala • Tamil • But you should come because almost everyone speaks some English.

  8. Religion About 70% of all people there are Buddhist.

  9. Food Dishes include rice and curry, pittu, Kiribath, wholemeal Roti, String hoppers, wattalapam (a rich pudding of Malay origin made of coconut milk, jaggery, cashew nuts, eggs, and spices including cinnamon and nutmeg)
