This report provides an overview of the Long Tom OTTR project led by the team of Annette DeVille, Tom Kinnear, and Jeff Scott, advised by Dr. Aziz Inan and Dr. Peter Osterberg, with industry representation from Mr. Mike Desmith. The project aims to create a comprehensive design for an Automated Traffic and Sensor Management system. Key accomplishments include completion of digital logic designs and setup of a project website. Future plans focus on refining sensor output, budget management, and exploring UART options. The team is progressing steadily toward project completion.

Introduction • What is OTTR? • Benefit: • Security • Use of statistics for a room University of Portland School of Engineering
Scorecard ALL COMPLETED!!! • Individual digital logic designs due 28 Oct. • Combine the three designs into one circuit • Send final .edf file to Dr. Osterberg by 23 Nov • Project Plan 0.9 • Work on budget • Purchase and assemble second IR sensor • Start looking for UART University of Portland School of Engineering
Additional Accomplishments • Completed Project Plan .95 and 1.0 • Website is up and running http://lewis.up.edu/EGR/SRDesign06/longTom/ University of Portland School of Engineering

Plans for December • Work on the logic for our off chip design • Work to get a useable output from the sensor • Continue to look for a UART to use • It’s not that the UART won’t work, it’s just finding one that will work best with our project University of Portland School of Engineering
Milestones University of Portland School of Engineering
Concerns/Issues • Interfacing with software & UART • Again, it’s not that the UART won’t work, it’s just finding one that will work best with our project • Retrieving a useable output signal from the sensor University of Portland School of Engineering
Conclusions • Completed all our tasks from November • Most important – turning in .edf file • 30% done with project University of Portland School of Engineering
