  2. Champions- Brazil Runners-up Italy 3rd place- Sweden 4th place – Bulgaria After 120 minutes of no scoring between Brazil and Italy they decided by a penalty shoot out for the very first time in World Cup history.

  3. Round 1 of the penalty shoot out • Marcio Santos (Brazil)- goalie saved the ball. • Franco Baresi (Italy)- Missed the goal • Score: B-1 Italy-0

  4. Round 2 • Romario (Brazil)- scored a goal • Baresi (Italy)- scored a goal • Score: B-1 Italy-1
