Web Enabling of Semiconductors Course Created by: Ezer Ben Simhon Leonid Podolny Project supervisor: Ilana David Project guide: Assaf Lahav
Project Structure • MathNet • Flexible Web-based homework publishing system • Automatic home assignment checking • Grades database management • Grades statistics calculation • Haynes-Shockley experiment • The basic experiment of semiconductors theory • Web-based experiment emulation
MathNet • Exercises are stored on server in pre-defined format. • The MathNet engine displays the exercises and collects students’ answers. • The answers are stored in the database • The engine provides comfortable web-based interface for the staff for managing the exercises (like postponing, etc.), collecting statistical data (average per student, per homework, per course etc.)
Haynes-Shockley experiment • Web-based experiment emulation. • Java Applet utilizing Swing class library. • Flexible oscilloscope window – maximizable window, coordinates window. • Cursor for taking precise measurements. • Extendible code – can be easily adapted for using for another experiments.
