  2. Steps to complete registration: • Create user account(s) in gazelle; enter contact info(This presentation) • Enter your test system details • Generate your connectathon contract (then mail it in and pay your fees!)

  3. Concept 1:An ‘Organization’ • In gazelle, an organization is the entity that is presentingtest systems at the connectathon • A member of the ‘organization’ signs the connectathon contract & pays the fees • IHE reports connectathon results (ie the profile/actor pairs you successfully test) “per organization”, • Eg “XYZ Medical Co successfully tested XDS.b Document Source” • **not** “The Magic EHR Product successfully tested XDS.b Doc Source • So, the name, address, and finanical contact you enter in gazelle for your organization matters

  4. Concept 2:Users vs Contacts • A “User” has a login and password to access the gazelle webtool • A “Contact” is a person in your organization who will interact with us in preparation for the connectathon: • Financial Contact (only 1) • Marketing Contact (1 or more) • Technical Contact (1 or more) • A user may, or may not, be a contact and vice versa • Users and Contacts belong to an Organization

  5. Concept 3:Two levels of user ‘Role’ • User with a “Vendor admin” role • Approves new user accounts for your organization • Can edit user and contact information • Can edit organization info (eg address) • Can edit all test system & testing details • Can generate a connectathon contract • User with a “Vendor” (non-admin) role • Can edit all test system & testing details

  6. Gazelle remembers … • Organization, user and contact details are kept in the gazelle database from year to year • No need to re-enter • Update what has changed • Separate gazelle instances (databases) are maintained in NA & Europe; other regions vary

  7. How to… …maintain organization, user and contact details in gazelle…
