This project involved a detailed data capture and analysis of the Mataniko River and adjacent sites, such as the April Ridge and local water dams, using UAV technology. The team executed meticulous flight planning and data extraction, including geometric correction, geo-referencing, and image processing for high-resolution documentation. The results, comprising image data of flood extents, dam surveys, and mining site assessments, are now stored in the SPC office for further interpretation and analysis. Comprehensive documentation highlights potential chemical hazards in the resettlement areas.
