  15. Billing Statements • ALL billing statements are electronic • NO paper bills! • STUDENT receives notification via Universitye-mail that a billing statement has been generated • Student accesses bill via my.Fairfield.edu to On-line Bill and Payment site

Billing Statements VERY IMPORTANT! • STUDENTSSHOULD create parent and/or guardian as an Authorized User in the On-line Bill and Payment system • Allows parent and/or guardian to: • Receive the billing e-mail notification • Access the on-line bill and payment site • View account activity • Make payments on-line & on-time

Higher One & Fairfield University There IS an easier way to make tuition payments… The Monthly Tuition Payment Plan The Tuition Payment Plan that was previously administered by Sallie Mae, Inc. is now administered by Higher One. You may continue to see references to Sallie Mae, Inc. on the enrollment site until it is updated later this year.

  19. Monthly Tuition Payment Plan • Flexiblealternative to traditional lump-sum payments at the start of semester • Allows you pay the total cost of tuition, room and boardin 10 equal monthly installments • Families find smaller payments easier to manage

Monthly Tuition Payment Plan • This plan is NOT a loan! • $55 application fee • NO interest charges! • Reduces oreliminates borrowing • Families pay out of current income or savings • May be used on a stand- alone basis • May be used as a supplementto: • Loans • Financial aid • Monthly statement: • Acts as a reminder • Shows payments & balance

  21. Monthly Tuition Payment Plan • In 2013-2014, the Monthly Tuition Payment Plan was utilized by 684 Fairfield families to pay for tuition, room and board! • Your funds are: • Protected in a Federally Insured Account • Funds are sent monthly to the university

  24. Plan Enrollment Terms • Monthly Plan Terms: • BEGINS JUNE 1st • ENDS MARCH 1st • On-line enrollment will be accepted through AUGUST 1st • If you enroll AFTER June 1st, you must include payment for all missed monthly payments

Financial Aid & Your E-Bill • Approved university aid disburses in JULY • Federal and State aid will appear as a “MEMO” (pending approval) • Deduct “MEMO” items from balance due • State grants will disburse during the fall semester • Federal Work-Study does NOT disburse to the student’s account

Financial Aid & Your E-Bill • If you do NOT see university aid or MEMO items on your E-Bill: • Offer of aid has NOT been accepted by student • Required documents have NOT been submitted to confirm aid award • File review is still in process* All offered aid is ESTIMATED until you are notified by the Office of Financial Aid of a final award.
