Technische beoordeling • zoekstrategie opgebouwd uit aspecten: liefst in verschillende kleuren weergeven op de dia • per aspect: MeSH terms en vrije tekst • veldcodes: • [Mesh] of [Majr] voor MeSH terms • [All fields], [Tiab] of [Ti] voor vrije tekst • haken: nodig om de juiste verwerkingsvolgorde af te dwingen • Booleaanse operatoren (AND, OR) • OR tussen synoniemen (vereniging) • AND tussen verschillende aspecten (doorsnede)

Inhoudelijke beoordeling • aspecten moeten overeenkomen met de PICO • alle gebruikte aspecten moeten zinvol zijn • gebruikte terminologie moet relevant en compleet zijn • adequaat ingeperkt bij teveel referenties • extra aspect • Major/Tiab of Major/Ti • Clinical Queries • Subheadings • adequaat uitgebreid bij te weinig referenties • minder aspecten • hogere MeSH-terms • andere databanken
