  3. Inclusion Activity When you entered, you were given a small card. Read your quote to yourself. Decide how it applies to you. Share with your neighbor your thoughts. How does it connect to DKG Society?

  5. Inspire: to breathe new life into….. • Who inspires you… • In the world • In your chapter • In our state What about DKG inspires you?

  6. Encourage Your Member’s Achievement Recognize individuals who have accomplished something in their work field Give out certificates for small achievements Present members with a special RED or GOLD ribbon Pay It Forward….help someone without being asked Each One Reach One give everyone a sticky note, have them write a note to their neighbor and exchange it Set up telephone calls just to say hello, how’s it going Give members who have made a milestone a special “key” for being outstanding

  9. State Achievement Award • Nominees must: • Have served as Chapter President • Demonstrated good attendance • Completed two or more leadership roles at the state level • Such as: Area Coordinator State Chair Served as a Director or Officer on ASTEF for a minimum of two years

  10. Golden Rose Award • Nominees must: • Be members who are not eligible for the State Achievement Award • Have good attendance and participation at the chapter level • Have given years of service at the state level through • Workshop participation • Committee work • Attendance at Delta Kappa Gamma Conventions

  11. Required information Completed outline format Photograph of nominee An endorsement letter from Chapter Executive Board Submit electronically to: maryosborne@sbcglobal.net Deadline: February 1

  12. Guess who said this? Be progressive. Keep up with the moving world while not discarding what in the world has value. Don’t cling to the old when its worth has passed. Don’t be a person so set in your views that nothing can change you.
