Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis. 10 year risk of major fracture (assessed by WHO FRAX or QFracture) ≥ 10%. 10 year risk of major fracture (assessed by WHO FRAX or QFracture) < 10%. Advise re healthy eating, calcium & vitamin D intake, exercise, non-smoking.

Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis 10 year risk of major fracture (assessed by WHO FRAX or QFracture) ≥10% 10 year risk of major fracture (assessed by WHO FRAX or QFracture) <10% Advise re healthy eating, calcium & vitamin D intake, exercise, non-smoking Refer for DXA Scan (via DADS referral) Fracture risk <7.5%: Consider re-assessing fracture risk (WHO FRAX or QFracture) after further 3-5 years Fracture risk 7.5-9.9%: Consider re-assessing fracture risk (WHO FRAX or QFracture) after further 1-3 years Risk Assessment Referral Management Guidance Please review SCI Store to check if a DXA scan has taken place in the last 3 years - a DADS referral may not be required.  Please follow the recommendations in the DXA report.
