  1. "Sustainable Fashion: Why It Matters & How We’re Doing Our Part" Fashion is often seen as a form of self expression but behind the glitz and glamor lies an industry that is one of the most resource intensive and polluting in the world. Fortunately the tide is turning. Sustainable fashion is gaining momentum and for good reason. Consumers and brands and innovators are reconsidering what we wear how it is produced and what impact it leaves.why sustainable fashion is important and how are dedicated to making a difference. Why Sustainable Fashion Matters 1. Environmental Cost of Fast Fashion Fast fashion is based on speed low cost and volume. It promotes mass production of cheap clothes often at the expense of the earth. The fashion industry produces more than 100 billion garments each year and many of them are in the landfill within two months. Actually and textile waste contributes about 92 million tons of global waste each year. The manufacturing process is also overwhelmingly resource intensive. It requires approximately 2,700 liters of water to create a single cotton shirt sufficient drinking water for one individual for 2.5 years. Combine that with the poisonous chemicals applied when dyeing microplastics shed from man-made fibers and carbon byproducts of worldwide shipping and it becomes apparent why change must come. 2. Labor Rights and Fair Wages In addition to environmental issues, the cost in human terms of fast fashion is notable. Most clothes are made in developing nations under deplorable working conditions where there are low pay and long hours and dangerous conditions. Sustainable fashion promotes ethical working conditions and supply chain transparency and equitable wages 3. A Growing Conscious Consumer Base More consumers  educating them selves about where their clothes come from. People are now looking beyond price tags and trends asking questions like: Who made this? What materials were used? What is the environmental impact. This shift in mindset is encouraging more brands to adopt sustainable practices and pushing is  industry toward a greener future.
