  1. Sights To Visit in Al Ain, the “Oasis City”! Al Ain is known to be one of the largest cities in the entire Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and is also popularly known as the “oasis city” and “garden city”. This oasis city is known for its dramatic setting, which is surrounded by the ever so famous mountain range of Jebel Hafeet. Just like much of Abu Dhabi, there are tons of interesting things to do and places to visit in Al Ain. Al Ain is considered to be established somewhere around 3000 BC and people have been settled in since then, and the museum here does a decent job of tracing the long history of the city. Hence, it is an excellent destination if you are someone who is interested in learning about the local culture. Some of the top things to do in this city include excursions to the camel market and the regular camel racing events, which are quite common here. You can book a city tour with any of the reliable travel agents in Abu Dhabi and explore the city of Al Ain for the beauty it is. • Jebel Hafeet: The craggy mountain range of Jebel Hafeet, standing at around 1,240 meters, is the second- highest peak in all of the United Arab Emirates, and the highest in Abu Dhabi. If you would love to get a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding desert, then this summit should be somewhere at the top of your sightseeing list. • Al-Jahili Fort: The establishment of this popular fort dates back to 1891 and was used as a defensive wall in order to protect the town from attacks. Surrounded by some tranquil and shaded gardens, nowadays, it is one of the major points of tourist attractions. Moreover, the towers and ramparts of the fort are allowed to be climbed by tourists for the views. • Al Ain National Museum: The Al Ain National Museum does a wonderful job in reviving the culture, heritage, and history of the UAE. The cultural aspect of the city including how citizens live their daily lives is reflected in the ethnographic section of the museum. In the archaeological section, tourists can find discoveries made in the local places that date back to as early as the Bronze and Iron Ages, which includes a significant coin collection and valuable pendants.
