  2. objective • TLW analyze the concept of target markets • TLW create two ads (for one product) that targets TWO DIFFERENT audiences

  3. market: • Consists of consumers who purchase goods and services for personal use (if you buy something) • Are YOU in the market for dishwashers? • What about cell phones? • Insurance policies? • Stocks? • School supplies?

  4. pizza • If a company (a pizza business) only sold sausage pizza, how would that go?

  5. shoes • If a company only sold dress shoes, how would that go?

  6. soup • If a company (say Campbells) only sells chicken noodle soup as healthy, who is probably going to buy that?

  7. marketers • Marketers have to figure out HOW TO ATTRACT MORE groups of BUYERS! • What are some of their options?

  8. Sooooo, • If you are a company that sells one type black mailbox, what might you do to market your product to more people? (because at this point only people who like THAT KIND of mailbox are buying)

  9. Back to the assignment • You and your partner were assigned a product. Now that you are working individually, you must now create BOTH ads. • You are creating two ads for a similar product. One ad targets one MARKET and the other ad targets ANOTHER MARKET. • Ex: mailboxes
