  2. European Allies C. 1779-Spain also agreed to help 1. Spanish governor of Louisiana, DeGalvez captured Natchez and established Baton Rouge 2. Mobile and Pensacola were established as cities the Brits could not control 3. British exhausted many men fighting Spanish instead of the colonists 4. Spain had an ulterior motive, land for themselves
