PSE Mobile Home Efficiency Program Treat 5,000 units in 2010 and 2011 Projected Composition: 4,700 electric forced air 400 with AC 300 with gas heat
Program Measures Primary propane or wood heat customers ineligible
3 Increasing Levels of Duct Repair • Duct Seal Level 1 - Prescriptive Visual Sealing including visual check of crossover, with pressurization QC check • Duct Seal Level 2 – If level 1 pressurization check shows remaining high leakage, locate and seal air leaks while under pressurization • Duct Seal Level 3 – Replace ducts that are beyond repair
Results of Similar ProgramModeled on Snohomish PUD Mobile Home Program w/1,600 participants Based on billing analysis of 572 sites. Standard deviation about 2000 kWh/yr.
Proposed Evaluation Overview Impact Evaluation Billing analysis on all participant sites, one year pre/post data Multi-fuel sites use EZ SIM, all-electric sites use regression model Sites stratified by treatment classification: • No treatment • Prescriptive duct sealing • 3 levels of duct sealing and repair Control group of 500-1,000 sites drawn from past participants with same pre/post program years Control group considered important in current economic climate
Analysis Details (1) SITE DATA COLLECTION • Site Address • Site utility reference number electric, gas • Site analyses internal reference number • Single, double or triple wide • Site contractor • Site auxiliary heat • Site conditioned square footage • Site treatment date • Site measures applied and removed • Site pressurization measurements • Site showerhead flow • Site special duct repair indicator and measurements
Analysis Details (2)Typical analysis results – results from the more complex dual fuel analysis are illustrated
