In 2000, the Cedar Rapids Parks Department, with K9COLA's founding, established Cheyenne Park’s Off-Leash Area (OLA). K9COLA raised 50% of the park’s original cost, contributing through volunteer work and community support. Opened on November 17, 2001, the OLA promotes safe pet ownership, socializes dogs, and supports over 36% of Cedar Rapids households with dogs. K9COLA continues to enhance the park, raise funds, and educate visitors. Join us at Cheyenne Park OLA for a fun experience for you and your dog!
