  5. Behavior Management • Whole Brain Learning • Class Dojo • Behavior chart (indicated by a strike on their behavior sheet in the agenda).

  6. Home/School Connection • “Go Notebook” - please initial agenda daily • Email (Please email me from your preferred address if you have not been receiving my group emails.) • Blog (please subscribe)/Newsletter • Seesaw • Please send in a note if your child is absent.

  7. Grading Academic Grades • 3+= Consistently and Independently Above and Beyond • 3 = Consistently and Independently meeting the standard • 2 = Progressing toward meeting the standard • 1 = Limited or minimum progress toward meeting the standard Behavior Grades • S = Successful • P = Progressing • N = Needs Improvement

  8. Homework • Phonics focus (spelling words) • Nightly fluency practice • Nightly math fact practice • Quarterly projects (2-3 each quarter) • As needed on individual student basis **All homework will be given out on Monday, and should be returned on Friday.**

  9. Housekeeping Policies Please help us ensure we are providing a safe learning environment for our staff and students by following the procedures below: • Allow your student to ride the bus if possible. • Follow established car rider procedures (video on website). • Only drop students off after 7:15 a.m. • If you walk your student into the building in the mornings, please say your goodbyes in the lobby. Students should walk to class and eat breakfast on their own. • If your student is tardy (arrives after the 7:45 a.m. bell), visit the front office to sign them in. • Only enter the building at the front door. • You must be “buzzed in” by the front office staff. Staff and students have been told not to let anyone in the building. This is for the safety of everyone inside.. Please do not try to enter at another door, or ask a student or staff member to open the door for you.

  10. Kemp ASP Kemp’s Afterschool Program (ASP) is open from dismissal until 6:00 pm daily.​ Each student must have an updated registration form completed and signed annually​ $10 registration fee annually​ $7 daily fee​ Snacks are served each day- please send a snack with your child if he or she has a restricted diet or if he or she wants and additional snack.​ PREPAID PROGRAM- Payment is required before a student is allowed to stay in ASP. If you make an online payment within 24 hours of your child staying in ASP, please email confirmation of payment to dana.johnson@cobbk12.org.​ There is a late charge of $1.00 per minute after 6:00 according to the school clock. ​ (Only 3 late notices, then the student will be removed from the program. We do have transportation to local daycares that stay open later.)​

  11. Cafeteria Information • Menus are available on the Kemp website • Breakfast is served until 7:45 unless students • arrive on a late bus! The cost is $1.25. • **Prices for Lunch** • - Students $2.35 • - Adults $4.00 • Prepaid lunches are encouraged. • EXTRAS!!!! If you would like to limit “extras” on your child’s account, you must put it in writing. • www.mealpay.com

ParentVue • Progress reports and report cards will be made available online through ParentVue. Each family registers for ONE ParentVue account which will show grades and report cards for all siblings. • 1st – 5th grade parents: If you have ever registered for ParentVue in the past, please login to confirm your information is still correct.  https://parentvue.cobbk12.org/ • Kindergarten parents, new parents, and parents who have never registered: Please fill out the ParentVue Acceptable Use Policy & User Agreement, and return it to your teacher. You will receive an Activation Key Letter within the next couple of weeks which includes instructions on completing your ParentVue registration.
