Colossians 1:9-11 • Paul prays for Knowledge, wisdom and spiritual understanding of His will. • That you may walk worthy of the Lord • That you fully please Him • That you may be fruitful in good work • That you may be increasing in knowledge • That you may be strengthened How important is His will to us?

  3. Colossians 1:11-12 • Paul also prays for: • Patience • Long suffering • With joy • Why? • Qualified to be partakers of the inheritance Are we working toward the Goal?

  4. Colossians 1:13-14 • The Father has Qualified • By delivery from darkness • By conveyance into the kingdom • By redemption, forgiveness of sins through His Blood • The Gospel in Summary

The image of God Firstborn over all creation He created all things Created through him In Him all things consist God was Pleased That in Him all the fullness should dwell, By Him to reconcile all things to Himself (God the Father) By Him, made peace through the blood of His cross.   7. Our Position Once alienated Enemies in mind Now reconciled Holy, blameless, and above reproach in His sight— Position Conditional If You ???? Continue in the faith Grounded and steadfast Are not moved away … the gospel which you heard Colossians 1:21-23

  8. Alienated Enemies Want to Be reconciled, Holy, blameless, and above reproach in His sight—? Once reconciled Now Alienated Now an enemy Wish to be reconciled? INVITATION
