Essential Diabetes Care at School: A Guide for Staff Managing Type I & II

This guide outlines vital information for school staff regarding diabetes management, focusing on both Type I and Type II diabetes. Students with diabetes must consistently manage their diet, medication, and exercise. Staff should be familiar with care plans stored in health folders and understand the signs of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Staff members may encounter these symptoms during their duties. For questions or additional resources like symptom cards, please contact the health room staff.
