The Lucknow Airport or the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport which happens to be under the control of Adani Airport Holdings Limited now has direct daily flights to Bangkok via Air India Express. Now this is a massive development brought about at the airport. This will have a crucial role to play in boosting regional tourism in Lucknow. Air India Express has recently commenced flights to the Suvarnabhumi Airport. This has complemented Thai AirAsia’s existing service to the Don Mueang International Airport. The direct routes between Lucknow and Bhubaneswar have also been improved to enhance connectivity with the state. With this step, the Adani Group’s airport business has experienced a boost. It has also put aside the controversies of the Adani Scandal.

  3. Why Did The Lucknow Airport Start Direct Flights To Bangkok? To cater to the increased rush for affordable holidays on beach locations, Lucknow will now have direct daily flights to Bangkok. Air India Express has recently inaugurated direct flights to the Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Since 4th December 2022, Thai AirAsia has been operating 4 days a week direct flights to the Don Mueang International Airport. Now Air India Express will operate on the remaining three days. This will help bolster tourism. It will also bring about an overall enhancement to the Adani Group’s airport business. The global conglomerate will be able to earn enhanced revenue from the airport business post the allegations of the Adani Scandal.

  4. As per the news, Air India Express will be operating flights between the Lucknow airport and the Suvarnabhumi International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. AirAsia will continue to operate flights between the Lucknow Airport and the Don Mueang International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These airports are 40 km apart from each other. The average airfare is around INR 10,000 per passenger. The flight duration between the two cities is around 4 hours. Air India Express is utilising its Boeing 737 Max aircraft having a capacity of 186 passengers to reach the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in 3 hours and 50 minutes. Thai AirAsia with its Airbus 320N having similar seating capacity will reach the Don Mueang International Airport in 3 hours 25 minutes.

  5. The Air India Express has also launched a direct flight for Bhubaneswar. This is just 50 km away from Puri. This flight will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. In this way, the new flights of Air India Express will help augment Lucknow airport’s emphasis on offering seamless connectivity to domestic as well as international passengers. Now travellers can look forward to more options while travelling. This will also reduce their travel time and offer them enhanced ease and comfort.
