  1. Burke and Wills Burke and Wills are explorers who were the first Europeans to cross from southern to northern Australia. Robert O’Hara Burke was born in 1820 and died in 1861. William John Wills was born in 1834 and died in 1861.

  2. Burke and Wills Burke and Wills were inexperienced explorers, Burke was a policeman and a Investigator. Wills was a surveyor and a Meteorologist. The two explorers left Melbourne on August 20, 1860 with many horses, 25 camels and 3 other men. John King, Charles Gray and William Brahe.

  3. Burke And Wills They were heading to the gulf of Carpentaria (on the north coast ) .

  4. Burke and Wills They reached the gulf on February 9,1861 but did not actually see the ocean as the swampy land prevented them from reaching the gulf.
