  1. CHRISTIAN ATTITUDES 1 Peter 4 v 1-6

  2. A MILITANT ATTITUDE TOWARD SIN • 1Pet 4:1 • Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

  3. (Rom 6:11) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. • (Rom 6:12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

  4. A CONSTANT ATTITUDE TOWARD GOD'S WILL • 1 Pet 4:2 • That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

  5. What is God's will for the Believer Their Sanctification Their Seperation Their Identification

  6. A TOLERANT ATTITUDE TOWARD THE LOST • Pet 4:3,4For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

  7. A DOMINANT ATTITUDE BECAUSE OF THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT • 1Pet 4:5,6Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. • For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
