The re-buy feature allows a participant in a Poker tournament to buy more chips to maintain his presence in the game when his chips go below a certain limit. The feature is available only in re-buy tournaments. In a freezeout tournament, re-buys are not allowed. Some tournaments allow players to rebuy a fixed number of times and some offer unlimited re-buys. The feature is available only at the beginning of the game for a specific amount of time.

  1. What is the Rebuy Feature in a Poker Tournament The re-buy feature allows a participant in a Poker tournament to buy more chips to maintain his presence in the game when his chips go below a certain limit. The feature is available only in re-buy tournaments. In a freezeout tournament, re-buys are not allowed. Some tournaments allow players to rebuy a fixed number of times and some offer unlimited re-buys. The feature is available only at the beginning of the game for a specific amount of time.

  2. How the Rebuy feature works? ‘Tournament’ is the most played variant of Poker games. The objective of the game is to win the hand with the strongest hand in value as per poker Sequencerules. Every participant brings a stack of chips to play with at the table. When this stack (chips in-hand) goes below the predetermined limit while playing, he can use the rebuy option to save himself from getting eliminated. The re-buy limit usually equals to the tournament buy-in but varies from tournament to tournament.

  3. Time period  • In a re-buy tournament, a player can rebuy only within a fixed time period that varies as per the game rules. In most tournaments, the player can avail of the option within 10 seconds of getting eliminated from his seat. • Auto rebuy • In an online poker game, you can use the ‘auto rebuy’ feature to bring more chips to the table. When you enable the option, your chip stack automatically restores to the required level whenever it falls below the pre-fixed level. 

  4. Final Add-On As a final Add-On, all players get the chance to add extra chips to their current chip stack. The chips allotted here are usually 2x or 3x more than the starting chip stack. You can have the final add-on when the rebuy period ends. At a predetermined time, the game pauses for a few minutes. All active players can avail the Final Add-On in the allotted time (2-4 Minutes as per the tournament type).
