Properly maintaining your Spacelabs transport monitors is essential for their readiness. Always ensure that the unit is plugged in when not in use to keep the battery charged. Check connections and securely attach the power supply to the unit. Look for battery indicators on the screen to assess the charging status: blinking signals charging, while solid indicates a full charge. If you notice any discrepancies, such as only one battery indicator lit, report it to Clinical Engineering immediately. Remember to avoid tampering with screws, as they are important for battery connections.

Do NOT remove or tamper with this screw. This is what connects to the battery.
Check connections. Secure power supply to unit connection Make sure power supply is fully plugged in.
Battery Indicators These will appear on the bottom right corner of the screen. Fully Charged No Charge
For the power supply, • Make sure power supply is secured on back of transport with Velcro. • If dropped, this will not work properly.
When not in use, transport should always be plugged in. Pay attention to the lights below the screen: -Blinking Charging -Solid Fully Charged Both A and B should be lit, this indicates two batteries are present. If only one is lit, report it to Clinical Engineering.
