Investigating Comorbidities in General Practice: Insights from a Patient Survey

This study examines the prevalence of chronic diseases and their comorbidities in general practice. We explored relationships with gender, social status, lifestyle, and quality of life, especially in elderly patients. Utilizing questionnaires and personal interviews with 121 patients across six GP practices, we analyzed data using SPSS. Key findings show hypertension and hyperlipidemia as the most common comorbidities, alongside significant associations with cardiovascular diseases. The study highlights the frequent medication use and the consulting patterns of patients.
