  1. Voices United # 402 verse 1 Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise God, all creatures high and low; give thanks to God in love made known: Creator, Word and Spirit, One.

  2. Voices United # 221 Sing Praise to God, Who Has Shaped 1 Sing praise to God, who has shaped and sustains all creation! Sing praise, my soul, in profound and complete adoration! Gladsome rejoice - organ and trumpet and voice - joining God's great congregation.

  3. 2 Praise God, our guardian, who lovingly offers correction, who, as on eagle's wings, saves us from sinful dejection. Have you observed, how we are always preserved by God's parental affection?

  4. 3 Sing praise to God, with sincere thanks for all your successes. Merciful God ever loves to encourage and bless us. Only conceive what godly strength can achieve: strength that would touch and caress us.

  5. 4 Sing praise, my soul, the great name of your high God commending. All that have life and breath join you, their notes sweetly blending. God is your light! Soul, ever keep this in sight: amen, amen never ending.

  6. Voices United # 562 Jesus Calls Us 1 Jesus calls us; o'er the tumult of our life's wild restless sea, day by day his clear voice sounding, saying, 'Christian, follow me.'

  7. 2 Long ago apostles heard it by the Galilean lake, turned from home and toil and kindred, leaving all for Jesus' sake. 3 Jesus calls us from the worship of the vain world's golden store, from each idol that would keep us, saying, 'Christian, love me more.'

  8. 4 In our joys and in our sorrows, days of toil and hours of ease, still he calls, in cares and pleasures, 'Christian, love me more than these.' 5 Jesus calls us: by your mercies, Saviour, may we hear your call, give our hearts to your obedience, serve and love you best of all.

  9. Voices United # 828-829, parts 1 & 2 Psalm 105 Refrain: Bless God, my soul. Hallelujah! Refrain: Bless God, my soul. Hallelujah! Give thanks and call on God's name. Make known to the nations what God has done. Sing, O sing the songs of praise; tell of all God's wonderful deeds. Exult in God's holy name; let those who seek God be joyful in heart.

  10. Turn for help to the One who is your strength; seek God's presence continually. Remember the marvels the Most High has done, the wonders and judgements God has given, O children of Abraham and Sarah, God's servants, O offspring of Israel, chosen of God. Refrain: Bless God, my soul. Hallelujah!

  11. You are the eternal God, your justice reaches every corner of the earth. You are ever mindful of your covenant, the promise you gave to a thousand generations, the covenant you made with Sarah and Abraham, the oath you gave to Isaac. You confirmed it for Jacob as binding. To Israel your everlasting covenant you declared, 'To you I give the land of Canaan, as your appointed inheritance.' Refrain: Bless God, my soul. Hallelujah!

  12. Voices United # 675 Will Your Anchor Hold Will your anchor hold in the storms of life? When the clouds unfold their wings of strife, when the strong tides lift and the cables strain, will your anchor drift or firm remain? We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love!

  13. It will surely hold in the straits of fear, when the breakers tell that the reef is near; though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow, not an angry wave shall our bark o'erflow. We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love!

  14. It will surely hold in the floods of death, when the waters cold chill our latest breath; on the rising tide it can never fail while our hopes abide within the veil. We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love!

  15. When our eyes behold, through the gathering night, the city of gold, our harbour bright, we shall anchor fast by the heavenly shore, with the storms all past for evermore. We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love!

  17. September 25 Back2Church Sunday Whom will you invite?

  18. Offertory Hymn – We Give Thee But Thine Own Voices United # 543 1 We give thee but thine own, what e'er the gift may be; all that we have is thine alone, a trust, O God, from thee. 2 May we thy bounties thus as stewards true receive, and gladly, as thou blessest us, to thee our first-fruits give.

  19. Offertory Prayer Let us dedicate our offering before God: These are your gifts to us, O God, gifts of generosity and grace. We return to you that which you have given, asking your blessing for your work they support. Bless us, too, in the ministry we share. Amen.

  20. We praise you for this wonderful world, Creator God. The glory of a summer morning, the sunlit fields, the rolling hills, and the mirror-imaged lake tell of your creative genius. The smile of a young mother for her inquisitive laughing child speaks of your love for humankind. The thoughtful, “Do you remember…?” conversation shared between two elderly persons reminds us of your wisdom communicated down the generations. We see pictures of polluted waterways, despairing parents, and abused older persons, but you have shown us, O God, how it could be.

  21. We praise you for your way of compassion, Loving God. The uproarious birthday party in a group home speaks of Jesus’ acceptance of the mentally sick. The careful, friendly treatment given to a stray dog in a shelter reflects the concern of St. Francis and the Buddha for all created beings. The casserole offered with a hug to a neighbour who has lost their spouse reminds us of the attention that Jesus paid to those bereaved. And we remember now those who are suffering and those who help and support them (time of silent reflection).

  22. We hear tell of the rejection of mentally challenged persons, of pets that are neglected, and bereaved persons told to get over it, but you have shown us, O God, how it could be. We thank you for Spirit alive in the church, Holy God. The service of worship that throbs with musical joy and sacred silence, the unexpected volunteer for an important task in the faith community,

  23. the unforeseen sense of unity that happens when two churches meet to study together, the personal testimony that makes clear the reality of faith. We hear of the decline of the church, the neglect of spiritual practice, and the absence of young persons in churches, but you have shown us, O God, how it could be. We thank you for your goodness to each one of us, O God. We have friends and family members, children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who delight us. We have hobbies, interests, and activities that excite us.

  24. We have a faith community that is our loving church home. We have a place in this world that is good to live in. We are challenged by sickness, by the jobs we do, by our financial situations, and by some of our relationships, but we realize, O God, how much we have to be thankful for. We offer these, and all our prayers in the name of Jesus, who taught us the prayer “Our Father...

  25. More Voices # 421 Lead On, O Cloud of Presence 1 Lead on, O cloud of Presence, the exodus is come. In wilderness and desert our tribe shall make its home. Our slavery left behind us, new hopes within us grow. We seek the land of promise where milk and honey flow.

  26. 2 Lead on, O fiery Pillar, we follow yet with fears, but we shall come rejoicing though joy be born of tears. We are not lost, though wandering, for by your light we come, and we are still God's people. The journey is our home.

  27. 3 Lead on, O God of freedom, and guide us on our way, and help us trust the promise through struggle and delay. We pray our sons and daughters may journey to that land where justice dwells with mercy, and love is law's demand.

  28. Go with us, Lord, as now we depart, calming the fears that trouble each heart. Keep us all in your grace until we come, again, to this place.   (candles are extinguished and the Bible closed) Now we will walk in peace with the Lord, living in faith and teaching His word. Share His love ev’ry day, for He has surely shown us the way! Amen, Amen.

  29. Please join us in the hall for fellowship and refreshment.
