The Rusty Old Car

2. One spring, sunny day, a brand new red car drove along the dusty road. It looked very happy and confident.

3. Five years passed and the red car got old and slow. His owner got upset and fed up of it so he dumped it into the dump.

4. The car was very sad and lonely. He was scared all alone duringthe spooky nights. He always thought about his owner and the garage where he would sleep and be very cosy. He fell asleep immediately.

5. In the morning, plenty of birds, mice and cats stood fast asleep on the seats at the back. The car gently opened its eyes and saw the animals on him. On his face grew a large smile.

6. The birds had laid a nest full of baby birds, the mice had built a small little house made out of grass and the cats had had kittens. The kittens drank milk from their mother cat. The car felt very, very happy for them all!

7. Two days later, a big lorry drove to the dump where the old, red car stood. It carried it up to it and towed it away. All the animals escaped.Poor car, it closed its eyes, shivered and hoped that everything was going to be alright.

8. A few moments later, the lorry put the car onto the dusty ground and took off its tyres. The men tied the wheels to ropes for a swing. The car wondered what was going to happen to him.

9. The car thought that he was the saddest car in the world. Not for long because he saw the men putting a massive sign which read:Park WorldNow, he noticed that hewas going to be used for a park!

10. A week later, children rushed to the park. A boy went on the tyreswing! A girl played in the car as if she was driving! Now the car was happy once again!
