  2. Imagine… What is same-sex attraction (SSA)? Where does SSA come from? What other problems does it manifest? What role do affections play? (Prov. 4:23, Ps. 34:18)

  3. Where does the pastoral shepherd fit in? Where does the church fit in (Psalm 68:5-6)? Patience, prayerfulness, involvement, consideration, preparation, and the unexpected Believe it or not, this can help you too!

  4. Romans 12:15-16 (NKJV)–15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Connect with your own brokenness in order to pastor to the wounds of others (v. 15); Empathise (v. 16a)- same mind, same heart; Don’t emotionally disengage and be lofty, but humble (v. 16b, Ps. 131:1, Elanor Rigby). Remember to keep yourself safe.

  5. The church with healing presence Preach and practice lament and include it in worship! Be a listener, not a problem solver.
