  3. 2011 Report Back • Key Achievements • Development of a TOR-to be ratified by membership • Collaboration with Human Rights First on a submission to the United Nations 13th Universal Periodic Review • Increased engagement with DOJ&CD and with NPA • All HCWG material available on HCWG website at http://hcwg.ipt.co.za • Development of a monitoring form which is being piloted

  4. 2011 Report Back • Monitoring of Hate Crimes • Wide consultation around the development of a Hate Crimes Monitoring Form • Limited early piloting of the form • Donor funds being sought for a pilot project for verification of the forms • Consultation with other groups involved in data collection

  5. 2011 Report Back • Secretariat Feedback • Six Meetings were held in 2011 culminating in today's AGM • Our membership lies at 27 members • New members this year include Women’s Law Centre, Forum for the Empowerment of Women • Ongoing interest among NGOs to be members. • Media and stakeholder interest particularly intense , with the secretariat responding to several queries every month.
