  3. Rules • 5 dictators are in a balloon. They are all competing with each other to be the person that stays in the balloon. • In teams you will represent one person and have to argue why your person should remain in the balloon. • There shall be several rounds and after each one you will have a chance to decide who should be voted off.

  4. Task • Once you have researched your individual you should prepare to argue which of you is the greatest Dictator. • Each round shall focus on a facet of that person’s role in History. • Each team will have a chance to choose someone to be pushed from the balloon. • At the end of the debate one team will be victorious.

  6. Dictators Team 1 – Adolf Hitler Team 2 – Chiang Kai-Shek Team 3 – Mao Zedong Team 4 – Joseph Stalin Team 5 – Benito Mussolini Team 6 – Kim Jong-il

  7. Round 1 - Introduce this character and why they are such a good dictator to start with. • Round 2 – Describe their rise to power and why this makes you the better dictator • Round 3 – Give details of your control over the party and people • Round 4 – Leadership qualities
