What is a pronoun? • A pronoun is a word used in place of one or more nouns or pronouns: • An antecedent is the word or word group that is replaced by the pronoun • Examples: • John is kind; he is also funny. • Samantha, where is your book? • Dara and her friends said they were coming today. • Work can be fun because it gives you something to do.
