  2. WHERE WILL WE BE? We will be staying in the coastal resort of Platja D’aro, Northern Spain. Approximately 1hr from Barcelona

  3. Where are we are staying? The hotel we are staying at is the ComtatSant Jordi, within the town of PlatjaD’aro. The hotel is Full Board, and the room share is 4 per room for the boys and 1x 3 bedroom and 1x2 bedroom for the girls.

  4. Surrounding area and beach. We are here!

  5. Sporting Facilities Just like the picture, most of the football pitches are like the school 3G Football pitch. If we play on grass it will be slightly harder than a UK pitch. All the netball games and fixtures are played indoors, in a leisure centre. The boys football fixtures will be in the evening. The girls netball fixtures will during the day.

  8. Evening Entertainment - TBC I am in the process of trying to organise evening entertainment with the other UK school who will also be in our area. This will be done without incurring any additional expense.

  14. Expected Behaviour when in Spain Respectful to each other, members of staff and Spanish locals. This includes the football/netball opposition! Following instructions from members of staff the first time. Students are expected to be in their rooms, lights off and no noise before 10:30pm. You must always stay in a minimum group of 4 at all times. You can bring a mobile phone but this will be at your own risk and not included in the schools insurance. No mobile phones are to be seen during breakfast, lunch or dinner. The school recommends no phones or expensive electrical equipment is brought on the sports tour.

  15. Hotel Sant Jordi – PlatjaD’aro and surrounding areas Hotel and meeting point This is the zone where students are not allowed to leave without staff supervision This is the beach. No students are allowed to go into this area without staff supervision

  16. Absolute unacceptable behaviour Anything negative which occurs over in Spain will be dealt with back at school using the schools disciplinary policy. Any serious offences which put at risk the health and safety of the students or staff will face the possibility of being sent back home. Parents will incur the cost of the flights. Behaviour categorised as unacceptable is: smoking, drugs, alcohol purchasing weapons, swearing at other students/staff, going into each others rooms at night, found in the opposite sex room. Bags and rooms will be randomly searched by staff. If there are any issues regarding this can you please come and discuss this with Mr Adams on a 1-2-1 basis. PARENTS – there is a behaviour contract that will need to be signed before you leave today!

  17. At the airport Please refrain from having ANY liquids (other than medication) in your cabin luggage. Hold baggage weight: Liquids in hand baggage • When passing through airport security screening: • Each liquid you carry must be in its own container of no more than 100ml (3.4 ounces). • All liquids should be carried in a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag of up to 20cm x 20cm (8in x 8in) with a total capacity of up to a litre (approximately one quart). • You must be able to completely close the bag and be able to fit it in your hand baggage. • The bag of liquids must be taken out of other hand baggage to be screened separately

  18. Kit List • Suncream(SPF 30 minimum) • Water Bottle • Shower gel/soap for 5 days Money • I would recommend 50 Euros. This would be enough money to take to Spain. The Hotel is full board so they will not need to worry about buying food. Provided tour kit (the hoodie is to be worn to the airport) Additional sports wear: • Trainer socks x 5 • Black playing socks x3 • Playing Shorts x 3 • T Shirts x5 • Trainers (especially for netball), • Football boots (no metal studs) • Swimming shorts/costume • Underwear for 5 days • Jumper or Hoodie, • Jeans, shorts etc. for 5 days • Evening wear (shoes, clothing etc.) • Comfortable clothing for the plane.
