  2. What are worms? • A worm is an invertebrate animal, which means it has a long skinny body and no arms. Worms can be many different lengths starting from microscopic to over a metre. There are many different types of worms, from the more commonly known worm that you find in your backyard called earthworms to marine worms called Spaghetti Worms. There are also horseshoe worms, horsehair worms, spiny-headed worms and many more.
