Indaco Metals, founded in 1995 by Joe and Charlotte Inda, is a family-owned retailer and manufacturer specialized in metal buildings and components. Starting with a modest 6,000 sq. ft. plant, they now operate from a 50,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. Overview • Indaco Metals is a retailer and manufacturer of metal buildings and building components.
History • The dream of Indaco Metals started in early 1995 for Joe & Charlotte Inda. • Building almost all of their own equipment to get started.

History • Indaco Metals opened its door in late 1995 with Joe & Charlotte Inda and one employee. • The original plant was 6000 sq. ft.

Present • Today Indaco Metals has 50,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing, office, and warehouse space. • Indaco Metals manufactures with state of the art equipment. • Indaco Metals has 50 to 55 dedicated families currently employed.
Roll Forming Department The roll forming department is 12,000 sq. ft. Half of which was the original plant.
Coil Processing and Trim Department This department is 12,000 sq. ft. and utilizes CNC folding equipment.
Fabrication Department The fabrication department is 11,000 sq. ft.
Product • Indaco Metals manufactures metal buildings, metal building components, and metal roofing systems. • Indaco Metals offers design and engineering services. • Indaco Metals prides ourselves in educating the retail customer about their project.

Customers • Indaco Metals serves over 8000 customers annually. • Indaco Metals has a customer base of retail (75%) and contractor (25%). • Indaco Metals produces on the average 350 miles of metal panels and processes a grand total of 4200 tons of all metal annually. • Indaco Metals generates a sales tax of $425K to $450K annually.

Community • Why Shawnee? • The Inda family has resided in Shawnee for four generations and this is our home. • Helping where we can. • Indaco, from the beginning, has believed in helping children and adult community based organizations. (kids space & South Central Ind.) • As well as, with the local schools and universities.
Family Owned • Family owned and operated. To us that means all the people employed by Indaco are family, in one way or another. • Our average length of service after one year is 7 years. • Indaco has nine employees who have served over 10 years.
