Multiculturalism in English Songs英文歌曲學文化 Course Description • This course is conducted in a fun, creative way, raising students’ interests and confidence in learning English through English songs. • This course teaches English speaking and listening comprehension skills, vocabulary capacity building skills, and other related linguistic skills. • This course explores global concepts and issues such as anti-war, environmental protection, racial discrimination, sexism, pop culture, etc. through English songs from various eras, periods, and styles to help develop students’ critical thinking and independent thinking skills.

  20. Rent (musical) • Rentis a rock musical, with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson based on GiacomoPuccini’s opera La bohème. • The musical details the struggles of a group of young friends in the East Village area of New York City in the late-1980s and early-1990s.
