We support wind energy education, training, and inclusion for women entering our industry; offer professional and career development tools for women already in the field; provide numerous opportunities for networking; and publicly celebrate stories of women in wind. More information can be found at www.womenofwindenergy.org. WoWE chapters hold meetings and sponsor programs, spread the word about wind energy, and reach out to schools and universities. They also help identify women leaders and nominate them for WoWE’s annual recognition awards. We have started a chapter in the Capital District area and have four focus areas: Education, Careers, Advocacy, and Community.
