  4. Current Governor and State Senators • Governor: Matt Mead • Senators: Michael Enzi, and John Barraso • They are both republican

  5. Resources, Agriculture and farming • Resources: mineral deposits, grazing land, scenery, wildlife and water • our country would not be good for Agriculture and farming because the country Wyoming has no crop land because of its dry land and ground

History and additional historical facts • Statehood: July 10, 1890, the 44th state • Historical fact #1: Native Americans living on the great plains once lived in teepees. • Historical fact #2: the Shoehore also lived in Wyoming in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s • Historical fact #3: in 1869, Wyoming gives women the right to vote

Additional facts • It took four treaties for the United States to get the land that makes up Wyoming more than for any other state • In 1807, John Colter explores Wyoming for the first time and visits Yellow Stone • In 1924, Wyoming voters elected the first woman governor, Nellie Taylor • The word Wyoming comes from a Delaware Indiana word meaning “upon great plain”

Additional facts • The Indians once lived in mild stone in teepees made out of hay, bark, and animal skin. • Mining, agriculture, tourism are many things that you may see in Wyoming. • 1835 a large rendezvous of fur trappers is held at the green river. • 1867 the union prafic railroad comes to Wyoming .
