Grounding Alphabetic Introductions: • At your table, each person choose a different letter of the alphabet. • Write that letter at the top of your piece of construction paper. • You now have five minutes in which to describe your PBIS WORK using single words beginning only with that letter. • Write as many descriptive words as possible, and be ready to share your “mini-poster” with your table group.

SET Results • The SET is a research-validated instrument that is designed to assess and evaluate the critical features of school-wide effective behavior support across an academic school year. • The SET was designed to: • 1. Assess features that are in place • 2. Determine annual goals for school-wide effective behavior support • 3. Evaluate on-going efforts toward school-wide behavior support • 4. Design and revise procedures as needed • 5. Compare efforts toward school-wide effective behavior support from year to year

Community Of Practice • Definition: • Communities of practice are "groups of people who share a concern, a set of problems, or a passion about a topic, and who deepen their knowledge and expertise by interacting on an ongoing basis." (Wenger, 2002) • Communities can be considered problem-solving conduits, developer and disseminatorsof knowledge that is crucial in addressing the challenge of educational change, they may even come up with innovative mechanisms for implementing new strategies. • Next year, PBIS Coaches will be attending designated Community of Practices.
