Background • EU AnimalChange project • Tool for modelling farm greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) • Includes ammonia (indirect GHG) and BC (carbon balance). • Tool consists of: • Web-baseduser interface and database • A model • Could be adapted to calculate just ammonia • Optional – many Parties already have theirown systems • Interest from EECCA countries at TFRN meeting

Advantages and disadvantages • Easier data entry • Interface in multiple languages • Improved data security through database backup • Data can be download as Excel or xml files • Scenario investigation • Parties cannot reprogram the interface and/or mode • Unless they employ software engineers • Requires internet connection • Data security issues
