Sunflowers begin as small seeds, known as kernels, which can be eaten. When planted, they grow into beautiful sunflowers. After the blooms die, we can harvest the seeds which can either be replanted or roasted for consumption. Sunflower kernels serve various culinary purposes, such as being baked into bread or made into a spread resembling peanut butter. Furthermore, sunflower oil, extracted by pressing the seeds, is a popular cooking oil. Explore the beauty and utility of sunflowers in our daily lives!
