Canaan is much more than a bookshop: The shop has a comprehensive stock of Christian books, Bibles, music and resources. Receive fellowship in our Coffee lounge. Organiser and supporter of local events. Link point for work of ‘Churches Together’ in the area. Christian Counselling Service provided in dedicated counselling room.   2. Canaan offers a professional, confidential counselling service open to anyone who would like a place to work through issues and challenges. Issues ranging from bereavement, depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, and challenging life choices. We offer an approach to counselling, within a Christian ethos which, seeks to help individuals resolve their difficulties. Clients can be of any faith or none and will be able to determine whether or not issues of religious belief form part of the dialogue.
