February Meeting Updates & Community Service Opportunities

Join us for the February meeting, where we'll discuss the upcoming Coastal Carolina Tour—rain or shine! Please bring items to keep yourself entertained on the bus and snacks for your room. We're kicking off a Book Drive to collect new and gently used children's books, along with donations for Clean Start of Anderson to support the homeless. Don't miss our Hoops for Hunger event on March 22nd, where we need volunteers! Remember, in-club and out-of-club opportunities are available. Mark your calendars for our next meeting on March 3, 2014.

  1. FebruaryMeeting

  2. Conference • Bring rain gear. The Coastal Carolina Tour on Friday will be rain or shine. • Bring something to occupy your time on the bus: you can sleep, study, play cards, read • Bring snacks and drinks for you room- don’t forget breakfast items • Bring games, books, and cards to help occupy your time in your rooms.

  3. In-Club Opportunities • Book Drive will continue through March: 20 new or gently used children’s books = 1 hr • Clean Start of Anderson gives homeless people a place to shower and wash clothes. We will be taking donations: bleach, laundry detergent, rubber bath mats, paper towels, face cloths, paper plates, 8 ounce cups, trash bags, gently used clothing and belts, shampoo and soap, small deoderants, cleaning supplies, white socks, snacks, vaseline, q-tips, toilet paper, air fresheners, blankets, disposable razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, underwear.

  4. Out-of-Club • Need 5 out of club hours this semester • Hoops for Hunger • March 22nd • We need tons of volunteers to help make this event happen. We are the cosponsors. • This can also count for in-club hours.
