  1. Particle Diagramseasy and hard

  2. Atoms, diatomic elements, molecules… which are which?

  3. atoms molecules diatomic elements

  4. Particle diagrams show atoms, diatomic elements, or molecules. They can also show phases, depending upon how the particles are arranged in the box. LEFT TO RIGHT: Gas particles don’t touch and “float” in space. Liquids are at the bottom, but not arranged orderly. Solid matter has particles in a very orderly pattern, that does not conform to the shape of the container.

  5. This could be Ammonia NH3 Carbon Dioxide CO2 Water H20 Methane CH4 This could be Ammonia NH3 Carbon Dioxide CO2 Water H20 Methane CH4

  6. When 4.0 g hydrogen combines rapidly with 32 grams of oxygen in the air to form into wata, how many grams of this dihydrogen monoxide form?

  7. When 4.0 g hydrogen combines rapidly with 32 grams of oxygen in the air to form into wata, how many grams of this dihydrogen monoxide form? answer 36 grams of course Matter cannot be created or destroyed in a chemical reaction. 4 + 32 = 36 silly

  8. What's in the box? • Atoms only • Atoms and molecules • Molecules only • Diatomic elements • A mixture • A compound Which of these could be in the box? H2, He, CO2, H2O, CO, CH4

  9. Watch the Matter Power Point online Read the matter diary Check your matter homework with the answers
