  12. Comprehension Fluency Phonics Vocabulary Phonemic Awareness

  13. Fluency is reading with speed, accuracy, and proper expression without conscious attention; performing multiple reading tasks at the same time. Vocabulary is recognizing the meaning and associations of words. Phonics is the connection between letters (as well as patterns) and the sounds they represent. Comprehension is understanding text while making connections. Phonemic awareness is the ability to hear and manipulate individual phonemes. .
